24 Weeks

Currently I am back in Colorado for my second trip this summer while Steve is in North Carolina. I have been very spoiled since I have been home and it has been nice to be in a house with people to talk to, not just a cat. :) I have many pictures to share but will do so when I return to California (it will give me something to do the week and a half before Steve returns!) Here is a current picture taken last week of me at 24 weeks! Now I am beginning to look soccer ball size. :) So fun, and still feeling really good!

Summer Movies 2009

I haven't seen a single movie in theaters so far this summer with Steve being gone...I know that my upcoming trip to Colorado will change that though. :) Here are some of the movies I am looking forward to:
  • "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" (Steve saw it- not the greatest review, probably Netflix)
  • "Star Trek" (never followed the shows, but I've heard great things about it, again Netflix)
  • "Terminator Salvation" (Steve had me watch the 3 previous Terminators since they featured the wonderful Antelope Valley desert, Netflix)
  • "Up" (planning on seeing this with family in Colorado!)
  • "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" (I have to see this one, as a large majority of it was filmed right here at Edwards AFB. In fact, one of our friends flew the B-1 (decepticon) for the movie. Hope to see it in Colorado!)
  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Been waiting for this one FOREVER! I know I'm a dork. Maybe see it when Steve gets back from NC?)

Steve Update

Steve just completed week 9 of his 15 week TDY in North Carolina. We are both hoping that the last 6 weeks will fly by quickly. (I cannot wait to see him!) I think it has been difficult for him being away from home, living out of a hotel room, and eating out a little too often. He seems to be enjoying what he is learning and has made some Army friends. :) His cousin Lauren and her new husband live in Chapel Hill so he has had the chance to meet them a couple of times in Raleigh. Last weekend Steve's parents came to visit and I know that it was encouraging for him to see familiar faces and to get away from Fort Bragg for awhile. Here are a couple of Steve's mom's pictures from their trip.

Outside of Steve's hotel on post (at least its GREEN)

I like this one! Steve and his parents took a trip to Babies R Us :)

21 Weeks

Week 21 and feeling great! Our baby has been doing some kickboxing lately- hopefully this is not an indicator of what he will be doing later in the pregnancy (or that he will be crazy hyperactive as a child.) I am finally wearing a few maternity tops- I had been putting if off as long as possible. :)
